Dear Studio friends, This past month was made up of quieter processes that don't usually make it into photos. Much of my time went to behind-the-scenes work that keeps future projects moving, like putting together proposals, mapping out timelines, keeping up with communication – the less-documented parts of making things. This writing-heavy work pushes me to be better at articulating my ideas, even if it’s just to myself, which is something I'm always working on since I naturally think in visual language first. It's a different kind of creativity, but one that's feels essential to the hands-on studio work. In the midst of administrative tasks, part of my brain is always waiting to get back to the studio, so a feeling of anticipation has worked its way into many of the recent Broken Boxes.
